The Side Door

Hashkifa · 6:34 · Yom Tov

After Yom Kippur ends, the chazzan of the great shul in Frankfurt is the last one left. Outside the locked gates he finds an old man who missed Kol Nidrei for the first time in his life, and it breaks his heart. What the chazzan does next is unforgettable. A true Yom Kippur story told by Rabbi Yoel Gold.
