Three lessons from Parshas Tetzaveh with Saba Kadisha: the ner tamid that burns every night, the beautiful clothes of the kohanim, and Moshe, whose name doesn't appear in the parsha, happily letting Aharon shine. Then the chaburah waters Dubi's wilted flower every day, Gadi changes into a clean shirt for shul, and Tanchum lets Dubi answer the quiz question.
שלושה דברים מפרשת תצוה: עושים טוב כל יום כמו נר תמיד, מתלבשים בכבוד לבית הכנסת, ונותנים לחבר להצליח.

Hello, dear children! It's Saba Kadisha. Oy, oy, oy! Last week, everyone brought gifts for the Mishkan, and this week we'll see special clothes and pure oil for the Menorah. Sunday after school, the four friends came like every week to Saba Kadisha's room. This week we read Parshas Tetzaveh, and it has three things every kid needs to know. Three? Star-counter ready. A star for each one. Easy! Number one: Hashem said to Moshe: V'atah tetzaveh es Bnei Yisrael, and they shall bring you pure olive oil, crushed, for the light. Pure oil, from crushed olives, for the Menorah. And only the first drops, the purest, went to the Menorah. And every evening they lit the lamps, and they burned all night until morning: a ner tamid. And this light burned night after night, in summer and in winter. A small light, but steady, that never disappears. Children, we can be like a ner tamid too: do one good thing every day. Not just once, but every day, every day. So we do good every day. One star! Number two: Hashem said: Make holy garments for Aharon your brother, for honor and for beauty. Special and beautiful clothes for the kohanim who served in the Mishkan. On the heart of Aharon the Kohen Gadol was the Choshen, and in it twelve precious stones of all different colors, a stone for each shevet. And that's how Aharon carried all of Bnei Yisrael on his heart. And on his forehead, a tzitz of pure gold. And there was also an Eiphod, made of threads of gold, techeiles and argaman, and a blue robe, and on its hem, golden bells and colorful pomegranates. And when Aharon walked, the bells rang: ding, ding! Children, to shul on Shabbos we wear clean, neat clothes. That's how we honor Shabbos and Hashem. So we get dressed nicely and cleanly. Two stars! And number three: in our whole parsha, Moshe's name isn't mentioned even once. Moshe stood on the side and let Aharon, his brother, shine. He himself dressed Aharon and his sons in the new clothes, carefully and with love, garment after garment, and he was happy for his brother with all his heart. And in the Mishkan there also stood a small golden mizbe'ach, and every morning and every evening Aharon placed ketores on it, and a white, sweet cloud rose from it, and a wonderful smell filled the Mishkan. Children, Moshe was the greatest, and still he was happy to give his brother the honor. We can also let a friend succeed and be happy for him with a whole heart. So we let a friend succeed too. Three stars! The counter is full! And just then, Yisrael came in, and with him Dubi, his little brother. And Dubi was holding a small pot and said sadly: Saba, my flower wilted. I forgot to water it. So here's this week's mission: One: do a good thing every day. Two: get dressed respectfully for shul. And three: let a friend succeed. My gadget says: a little every day is a lot. Let's water the flower every day! And I'll arrange the books every morning. Every morning that week, the friends came early. Dubi watered the pot, and everyone helped Saba tidy the room, just like the lamp that burned every night. My gadget says: the flower is smiling! And after a few days, red flowers bloomed in Dubi's pot. And the first star lit up. On Friday, Gadi came back from playing in the yard, and his white shirt was full of mud. It's OK. I'll go to shul like this. Gadi, for Shabbos we wear clean clothes. Gadi ran home, showered, and put on a clean white shirt. And when he came back, Saba smiled: For honor and for beauty! And the second star lit up. On Shabbos after davening, Saba made a quiz on the parsha. And Tanchum knew all the answers. But he saw little Dubi raising his hand and waiting. Dubi, come, you answer this time. And Dubi answered correctly and beamed with joy, and Tanchum clapped for him, like Moshe, who was happy for Aharon. And the third star lit up. My gadget says: a big heart is happy for friends. And at the end, the friends and Saba Kadisha sang a happy niggun together. Friends, this week we did good every day, we dressed respectfully, and we let a friend succeed. Three stars! The mission is complete! On Shabbos night, at the table, the friends told everyone about the beautiful clothes of the kohanim and about the ner tamid. Dear children, this week you did good every day, you dressed respectfully, and you let a friend succeed. And next week we reach Parshas Ki Sisa. And what will happen in the camp? We'll see next week! And now, thank you for watching with us, and Shabbat shalom! And next week, a small coin: the machatzis hashekel, and more big surprises. What will happen? We'll find out next week!
