Three lessons from Parshas Vayakhel with Saba Kadisha: all of Bnei Yisrael gather as one to build the Mishkan, Shabbos comes before everything, even the Mishkan, and everyone gives his own talent with a full heart. Then the chaburah helps old Rabbi Baruch move, stops building a birdhouse when Shabbos comes, and Tanchum paints it with flowers and birds.
שלושה דברים מפרשת ויקהל: עובדים ביחד, השבת באה קודם, ונותנים בלב שלם.

Hello, dear children! It's Saba Kadisha. Oy, oy, oy! Last week, Moshe received new Luchos. And this week, everyone comes together to build something special. Sunday after school, the four friends came like every week to Saba Kadisha's room. This week we have a big, special parsha, and it has three things every kid needs to know. Three? Star-counter ready. A star for each one. Easy! Number one: Moshe gathered all of Bnei Yisrael to one place. Vayakhel Moshe. Everyone stood together, like one person with one heart. Everyone felt like one big family. And Moshe told them: Now we'll build the Mishkan together. And everyone wanted to help. This one gave to that one, and that one gave to this one. Big and small, old and young. Nobody worked alone. Everyone was one big team. One pulled a beam, and one helped him. And everyone was happy. Children, when everyone works together like one team, everything becomes easy and happy. That's achdus. So we work together. One star! Number two: before they started building, Moshe said: Six days you shall work, and the seventh day is Shabbos kodesh. And Moshe said this even before the first beam. Even the holy Mishkan isn't built on Shabbos. All the tools were put aside, and the work stopped, and everyone waited patiently for Sunday. And on Shabbos, the whole camp was quiet and happy. Everyone rested, davened and sang together, and the Mishkan waited quietly until after Shabbos. Children, even when we're doing something very important, Shabbos comes before everything. On Shabbos we stop everything and rest with simcha. So Shabbos comes first. Two stars! And number three: everyone brought gifts for the Mishkan with a generous heart: gold and silver, copper, wood and colorful cloth. And they brought so much that Moshe said: Enough! There's already more than we need. And Moshe saw how much everyone loves to give. And Betzalel and Ohaliav, the wise-hearted, taught everyone, and they built the Aron, the Shulchan and the Menorah. And wise-hearted women spun beautiful threads. Children, Hashem gave each one a special talent, and you can give it for Hashem with a whole heart. You too! So we give with a whole heart. Three stars! The counter is full! And just then, Gadi said that the old neighbor, Rabbi Baruch, is moving, and he has lots of heavy boxes. So here's this week's mission: One: work together like one team. Two: Shabbos comes first. And three: give our talent with a whole heart. My gadget says: together, it's easy. Gadi, we'll all come! And I'll bring Abba's wagon. The next day, the friends met at Saba's and planned together who carries and who holds the door, and Rubi checked on his gadget how many boxes there are. I'll hold the door! My gadget says: everyone's ready! And together they moved all the boxes in one hour, and Rabbi Baruch smiled from ear to ear. And the first star lit up. On Friday afternoon, Gadi and Yisrael worked in the yard on a birdhouse, as a gift for Rabbi Baruch. But the sun had already started to set. Just a little more. I want to finish it now. Gadi, Shabbos comes first. We'll finish on Sunday. And Gadi smiled and put down the paintbrush. They tidied everything and hurried home to get ready for Shabbos, and Shabbos came in quietly and happily. And the second star lit up. On Sunday, the friends finished the house. But Tanchum stood on the side, sad. He said: I didn't help with anything. But I know how to draw! I'll draw flowers and birds on the house! And Tanchum drew colorful flowers and birds, and everyone gave the house as a gift to Rabbi Baruch. And he hung it on the tree by the window. And the third star lit up. My gadget says: the most beautiful in the world! And at the end, the friends and Saba Kadisha sang a happy niggun together. Friends, this week we worked together, we kept Shabbos, and everyone gave what he knows how to do. Three stars! The mission is complete! On Shabbos night, at the table, the friends sang happily, because Shabbos comes before everything. Dear children, this week you worked together, you kept Shabbos, and you gave with a whole heart. And next week we reach the next parsha. And what will happen when all the work is done? We'll see next week! And now, thank you for watching with us, and Shabbat shalom! And next week, all the parts are ready and waiting. What will happen now? How will it all join together? We'll find out next week!
